The Hsin-Lien Dadaocheng Building, completed in 2002, was the first in Taiwan to fully integrate modern design and cultural heritage, blending a unique architectural style with the remains of a historical site that now stands out as a striking landmark in Taipei’s Dadaocheng area. The red brick façade that shrouds the structure’s first three floors was once the exterior of pineapple tycoon Ye Jintu’s luxurious private mansion. Completed in 1929, the mansion was considered the finest example of Baroque architecture in Taipei during the Japanese colonial period, and the façade’s appearance has been preserved intact as the centerpiece of the new structure’s design.

Once the epicenter of trade in Taipei, the Dadaocheng area has been revitalized in recent years and has re-emerged as a new-generation cultural and creative hub and commercial center. It offers convenient transportation links, giving the property quick access to major roads and rail lines. An entrance to the country’s main freeway is just up Chongqing North Rd., while the Daqiaotou MRT station is a short walk away and Taipei Main Station, with connections to Taiwan’s extensive railway network sits only a kilometer to the south. The building, which has 660 to 792 square meters of space per floor, is currently leased to the Taipei City Hotel Co., Ltd.
